First Father's Day

Last Sunday, we celebrated hub's first Father's Day!  He is such a wonderful daddy.  Even from the beginning, when I was in ICU, he stepped right in and was Peyton's daddy AND mommy for a bit when I couldn't be there.  After we got home, he would get up with me every time Peyton needed to eat.  He would make sure I was ok so I could focus on taking care of the little girl.

I love watching him with Peyton.  He definitely talks to her differently than I do :) but thats what I love.  They have their own "language".  Ha!  She smiles when he talks to her... when he sings to her... when he makes up silly songs to her activity mat music...

I can't wait to see how their relationship grows and develops over the next several months.

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband, best friend and partner...

One month

Peyton is one month old today!! I can't believe we made it to this milestone. For the first few weeks, it felt like we would never get here! :)

Overall, she is a good baby.
- She definitely lets you know when she is hungry! Just need to get her eating a little less frantic at times.
- She is starting to smile a bit more but still not sure if it is gas or not. Ha!!
- She is still a little too small for many of her cute outfits but no harm in wearing some anyways!!
- She is very animated with her hands and fingers and can grab hold of your finger with her toes!
- She is starting test out her noises.  I love hearing her "coo"!

Here is a picture of how Peyton sleeps at times. Very strange kid I tell ya. I have read that babies with acid reflux tend to sleep like this but so far, we don't see signs for that. Maybe she is just praying!! :)

Daddy and Mommy love you so much sweet Peyton!!  You have definitely rocked our world.  So blessed to have you as our daughter!
