Yes. We are over 2 weeks past Peyton's 5 month mark and are just now getting blog up. :(
Peyton is growing so fast! I love watching her learn something new every day! She is such a joy to be around.
- Riley is still her favorite. She loves watching her run around. As always, Riley gets the most giggles.
- Still loving eating cereal and squash/sweet potatoes. She is only eating solids once a day but getting very used to eating solids. We may start her on some green veggie and maybe a fruit next week!
- Most mornings Peyton and I will have a video chat with Daddy after he gets to school. We started letting her sleep in the mornings so unfortunately that means Daddy doesn't get to see her before he heads to work. This way he gets to see her for a few minutes before his day gets hectic. Peyton loves to hear him say "Hey Munchers!".
- Speaking of sleeping, she is still sleeping between 11 and 12 hours a night. (Well, except for last night... little stinker.)
- Even though Peyton can't crawl yet, she sure can move on the floor! She likes to hang out on a blanket with some toys while I get some work done. Several times I have turned around to check on her and she is off the blanket!! I never seem to witness her *moving* but she is doing it. Oh boy.
- She is getting really good at sitting up and if somewhat reclined, she will strain to sit up. She needs a little assistance in keeping from falling over but she is such a big girl!
- Evenings are probably her hardest times. Even though she gets in a morning nap and a long afternoon nap, it is hard for her to not get sleepy from 5ish-7p. What seems to keep her most happy is sitting outside on the back patio and watching Riley play. :)
I know there is more... but I don't want to get ahead of myself on the 6 month blog which will be here in a couple of weeks!
Enjoy some pictures. :) Oh and make sure to check out the previous blog for a video of Peyton while she eats sweet potatoes. She's crazy I tell ya!

Yippee for sweet potatoes!
Saturday morning (today), we took Peyton to the Coppell Farmers' Market. We got squash, sweet potatoes and apples. Then, mommy and daddy cooked up the squash and sweet potatoes, and made some homemade baby food. Here are some shots Brooke took of Peyton's first encounter with "baby food". I think she likes it!

The on/off switch
I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but one song in particular can shut off Peyton's crying. Well... as you can tell... only momentarily tonight. Poor sweet girl was extra tired. And please ignore my singing... :)
